Homeschool Highschool Podcast Episode 20: Making the Most of Highschool

Highschool years are the best homeschool years of all! Join Vicki for an interview with her son, Ezra, who homeschooled all the way through graduation. Ezra is now a college graduate. He teaches middle school history and geography, filmmaking and Latin.

In this episode, Ezra and Vicki discuss how he made the most of homeschooling highschool. Ezra was interested in filmmaking and history, so he and Vicki planned his highschool years to build a transcript that emphasized these courses.

Ezra, his filmmaking friends and their moms worked together to start a filmmaking club for local homeschool highschoolers. They studied how to make their own movies, worked on projects together, had film-viewing evening events and entered competitions together.

Ezra leveled up his History credits and Language Arts credits so that his transcript showed powerful Honors-level work. This was rigorous for him but gave him the ability to get credit for the hard work he wanted to do in learning more about history and history-based literature.

Find out more about how Ezra’s homeschool highschool years prepared him for college and career! Listen in!
