This week on Homeschool Highschool Podcast Episode 29: Continuing Ed for Moms. This post is running concurrently on Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network.
We homeschool moms need to continue our own educations. Our teens are growing and learning and becoming more adept human beings. We homeschooling mothers have to keep up! We need the *professional development* of attending conferences, reading books and being mentored.
Besides, learning is fun (and great role modeling for our kids)!
Learning is fun when we are in the right circumstances. What are the ways that learning is most fun for you?
- Online courses?
- Homeschool conferences?
- Mentoring? Getting a homeschool coach (like 7Sisters’ coaches)?
- Reading how-to books?
- Visiting blogs like 7SistersHomeschool.com?
- Chatting with your homeschool co-op mom-friends?
There’s not ONE right way for homeschool moms to continue their education. We just know this ONE thing: DO continue your education!
Sabrina, Kym and Vicki recorded this podcast about the importance of continuing ed for moms- especially homeschool moms- while they were on the road home from the 2:1 Conference.
Homeschool moms may be teachers but they also need to keep their brains sharp by learning as a lifestyle. It’s good role modeling for their homeschool teens, too!
