Kym Smythe- the FUN Sister at 7SistersHomeschool

Kym Smythe 7SistersHomeschool.comKym Smythe: Let’s get this party started!

Kym Smythe is our communicator and connection-maker in our homeschool community! (In other words: She makes the parties happen!)

Kym’s passion for people and ability to look on the bright side make her Spanish, career exploration and leadership classes at Mt Sophia Academy as much fun as the homeschool choir she directed for years for Tri-State Homeschool Network.

Kym holds a B.A. from La Salle University in Spanish Education and International Business, and an M.Ed. from the University of Vermont in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. In the interest of keeping things diverse in her life, she has done stints as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a Youth Minister, and Family Daycare Provider. She and her family raise puppies for The Seeing Eye, Inc.

She and her husband Doug have four kids (including one set of identical twins), and their homeschooling family graduated the youngest kids in 2015.  Kym embodies compassion and service; if someone is in need, she comes alongside immediately.

Kym’s passion for people and ability to look on the bright side make her Spanish and other classes at our local umbrella school as much fun as the homeschool choir she directed for several years in our local homeschooling community. Kym gets the party started! BTW- one of our most popular podcast episode’s shares Kym’s advice for teaching a World Language when you don’t know one.

Kym is also a sports mom. Her twins played ice hockey through high school and then again through college. You can get her advice on balancing being a sports mom and homeschool mom in this Homeschool Highschool Podcast discussion.
