Using The Chronicles of Narnia Literature Study Guides for High School
7Sisters’ collection of literature study guides will provide your teen a high school experience with Narnia. The guides are written at an average high school level and include instructions for teens who would like to *level up* to a powerful college-prep or honors level for their transcript. For instance, they will have the opportunity to develop their own “Narnian-style” sub-creation (backstory) as they work through the study guides. (A recommended fun add-on would be Advanced Guide to High School Writing: Myth-Fantasy Short Story, which will help your teen construct a story following the format that Lewis employed.)

Upon completion of the course, student will have covered the literary, philosophic and theological themes in each of the Chronicles of Narnia books.

- At the completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate an introductory knowledge of C.S. Lewis’ thoughts on classical literature, philosophy and theology

- The Chronicles of Narnia Study Guides count toward the literature and literature analysis portion of a high school English/Language Arts credit

Grading for the Class:
Grading will be based on the following:
-Attendance 20% (In the form of a short, weekly “pop quiz” about the reading.)
-Class participation 20%
-Homework (Should take about 3 hours per week. Must be handed in on time, completed neatly, stapled, and with name.) 60%
