Help and Encourage those Homeschooling High School

(Thanks to our beloved Stacey Lane Clendaniel, who is both a Sister and Cousin! She is make-it-happen on the FB group and all the social media, the wisdom-sharer when we get stuck and the one who would make things explode for the teens in chemistry lab. Stacey can do anything!- Vicki)

If you follow any of our social media accounts or are a member of our Facebook group, you have probably seen us post, “How Can We Help?”

We don’t take that question lightly, it truly is our desire to aid, assist, help, and encourage families homeschooling high school.

The first definition of the word help, “make it easier for someone to do something” becomes a core value of our “why” here at 7SistersHomeschool.

If you put the word “help” into our search bar on our website you would get over a dozen pages with the word “help” in the title of our blog posts. For the math people, the website shows nine posts per page so easily we have written over 200 posts with the word “help” in the title.

We are here to Help and Encourage Those Homeschooling High School!

Another thing we take to heart about helping and encouraging is that homeschooling is NOT just academics. We are here to help homeschool all aspects of raising and guiding teens. Even our health curriculum title High School Health for the Whole Person encompasses that desire.

If you find yourself needing to take a step back from academics to “help” your teen that’s ok. Or if you and your teen are in a serious crisis, start with this podcast first, Helping Teens in Crisis Times. If you have not experienced a crisis but know a friend experiencing a crisis, we encourage you to read How to Help a Friend in a Crisis.

We want our teens to manage the stress of growing up. As much as we might wish it, homeschooling does not insulate our teens from stressful times. Stress is hard for anyone but especially for teens. The cool thing is that we can help our high schoolers develop stress management tools for their stressful times now.

Homeschool Moms: we are all in this together!

High school becomes the transition for teens to own their education.  We can help them explore their interests.

As teens near graduation we want to help and encourage them to THINK!
